Busy --> Then Free!

OK! So It's been a while since I've posted, but wow: I got a lot of comments on my previous post, THANKS!! Comments always give me a boost when I need it, and boy oh boy, I've needed it!
I've been up late every night (I think the most sleep I've gotten in a little over a week is 5.5 maybe 6 hrs tops) So I stopped my job. I can feel the freedom sinking in!! TIME is coming back to me like an old lost friend :D
1) I've found cheap figure drawing sessions at UC Berkeley every Friday night thanks to Amelia! There's no teacher either so its great to just do what I want. I decided to try out some oil pastels, Im a bit rusty though...

Here is one shot from an experiment I did with colors. It was a school night and I did these around...2 in the morning I think

OH! And I won the Homecoming T-Shirt design for my school :) They are being printed now and go on sale next week I think, here's the back

I have a series of sketch books pages I'm eager to post but it's being graded by my art teach (soooo lost without my sketchbook!)

Stepping Forward

The camera has arrived and boy oh boy, its beautiful!!!!! A digital rebel xt - with 8 megapix! So long little aim and shoot camera, hello details!! (although I've had some great adventures with the little aim and shooter camera, I'm ready for the new!

(click on the page to see the little comic up close - the photos are all from my new love; the camera. haha)
Speaking of new...I have a bit of a new perspective on my tiny little high school: It's waaaay to small!! After all the excitement of New York and Pratt Institute my school just seems dull. Today I actually checked out Berkeley High School to see what it was like. I have a few friends and was excited to go but that school just has to many kids - over 3 thousand!! The art class I sat in on wasn't what I expected, the students didn't get very much attention from the teacher. Soooooo I'm staying at my school but I would really like to find outside classes/ programs where I can have more excitement and meet new people! Escape the bubble. So...where to find this? I'll figure it out...but for the time being I have a HUGE history exam and a big Japanese test so wish me luck!!
