My Show was Censored

Recently, my AP art exhibit at Piedmont High School was censored. The administration removed an AIDs awareness painting of mine in mid exhibit without citing a just reason, or even informing me of their actions. This leads me to question Piedmont High School's supposed openness to freedom of expression, sexuality, and sex education.
What is so offensive about this painting that it required confiscation? In light of my nude figure paintings surviving the administration's secret screening test, perhaps it was the orgiastic sexual intercourse. In which case, this topic has already been taught to Piedmont's students in social psychology with fairly scientific and otherwise mundane teaching methods. It seems that as soon as sex is presented in a pleasurable fashion it becomes an issue.
Ignoring the AIDs epidemic will not make it disappear. I trust that my school's students are mature enough to understand the message presented in this piece. I am requesting that Mr. Booker allows me to display this painting in Piedmont's final showcase.

Great post and work Paul! Just be in action and you can't go wrong. Seems you already get that :)

That's quite a disheartening turn of events that you've described. Your work is powerful and meaningful and I hope you pursue this issue vigorously. Keep at it, Paul! You're on a great path; kick boulders out of your way.

- Excellent advice Valerie, thanks.

- "kick boulders out of your way." nice quote Donna! Did you come up with that one? I feel like it should be written down

- sounds like you're speaking from experience goobeetsa, hope it happens a bit less now-a-days in art schools. But I wouldn't be surprised
