Sketching in the Sun

Outings to China Beach in San Francisco

Sketching my classmates during presentations...

Long bike rides to Tilden park

Unexpected locations

Expected locations... My favorite thing as of recent, is to bike around the city until I find a corner with a view to sit and sketch.
As I was sketching this, someone asked if I was Paul Madonna, San Francisco's coolest cartoonist/ fine artist! Awesome compliment.
Someone also pulled up in their car blasting "Don't Stop" (or whatever its called) by Michael Jackson and sung it to me in their highest voice, haha. Oh Castro...

Dolores Park picnics
Sketching to kill time

Someone definitely took advantage of that warm weekend. LOL. That's the most people I've seen at China Beach - looks like so much fun. Great sketches and photos Paul.

Wow that sounds like so much fun! Great architectural sketch of the corner at the castro. I think the outline of the cloud above it ties it together with the antenna in the background and keeps it from looking like empty space. That's the kind of challenge I should really take on sometime...
